All our short courses are designed and delivered by Language Experts. Each course attracts 20 PD points. Most of the courses are one day courses attracting 20 PD points. Our specialisation courses which are two days each attract 40 PD points.

Our short courses are suitable for:
Certified practicing interpreters and translators wishing to obtain a credential
Recent graduates or newly certified practitioners of translation and interpreting wishing to improve their confidence and work-readiness in making the transition into practice
Persons who have little or no experience in interpreting and translation including speakers of new and emerging languages who would like to learn basic skills of interpreting and translation with the goal of sitting an examination
Certified practicing interpreters and translators to gain specialised skills and knowledge to effectively deliver language services in specific sectors.

All courses provide direct input from practitioners and our guest speakers which enhances the experiential learning aspect of the courses. As a result, participants are well prepared to understand the challenges of interpreting and translation in the relevant setting; to use the skills and tools required to perform in a professional manner and to incorporate the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct in their practice.
Emphasis is given to the areas of the relevant sector where interpreters are most engaged. Language and vocabulary development also feature in our courses.
